Tumisang is an author and freelance editor involved in literacy and community upliftment. Her latest work is a short story collection titled Our Brothers' Voices. She also published several children’s books, including Naledi’s New Look, Shongololo, Meerkat Magic, Mazi Learns to Play, and Molebi's Gift. She has also had some of her short stories published with online magazines. Her stories cover themes of identity and self-acceptance.
Her work has reached local and international audiences, with her Nal’ibali World Read Aloud Day 2023 story, Every Day’s A Story receiving national media coverage and being read in classrooms as far as South America through a collaboration with LitWorld.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Tumisang studied a BA in Languages & Literature (specialising in Creative Writing) at the University of South Africa. She then did a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (Level 5) Diploma through the TEFL Academy, a Postgraduate Editing certificate with the University of Pretoria, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Brand Building at VEGA.
Born in Gaborone, Botswana, she now lives in Centurion with her husband and two children, where she continues to work across writing, editing, and publishing support for independent authors.
